door check
More detail? Is the door check itself broken, or the door metal fatigued and cracked? The check itself was broken on my sedan when I bought it, and replacement is easy enough once the door panel is removed. My wagon, on the other hand, had a long crack forming along the door that required welding.
I got a chance to look at it and don't find any cracks so I'm still going for the door check.
Door check is easy enough to replace, if you can handle getting the door panel off. I believe the Torx bit is a 35 or 40 to disconnect it from the door jamb. A couple of 10mm nuts or bolts to remove from door. A little wrestling to get it out, and reverse steps with new replacement. Fronts are same left/right.
