Default ECC trubbles?

Hullo!
After owning 3 volvos at various times in my earlier years, I strayed & went domestic. I've since seen the error of my ways & returned to the fold. In March, I took delivery of a 96 850 GLT wagon from Florida (thanx e-bay!). I won't bore U with the details, but suffice to say, I'm very, very happy - with one small ****ling problem.
It's been cold here lately - very, very, very cold! My swedish friend has led a pampered life in Florida & has forgotten its teutonic roots. Anyhoo, here's the problem. The colder it gets outside, the cooler it is in the cabin. When it's very cold, it's impossible 2 get warmth in the cabin, although the air is warm, it never gets hot. When the outside temp approaches 0 celsius & above, there's heat aplenty - I actually turn it down. To further complicate matters, the passenger side is even less hospitable than the drivers side! (Sweet pea has pointed that out several times now [&:]
I have replaced the coolant, the thermostat & flushed the heater core. What's next sports fans?
TIA.

Default RE: ECC trubbles?

I would say the next thing to do would be have al the dampner motors calibrated. You will need to have the dealership or a shop with the proper equiptment calibrate them.Im guessing that because those cars normally produce tons of heat. When you turn the car on does any of the lights on the ECC flash? If it does there is codes in the system and that could be one of the dampner motors not adjusted properly.
