EGR Malfunction

RE: EGR Malfunction
There are a couple of different versions of the EGR but the one that usually gives the flow code is the version with the valve under the intake manifold.
If you have a low flow EGRcode chances are the holeabove the EGR valve to the intake manifold is blocked. In some cases the EGR valve itself can get blocked.
To do it right you really need to remove the intake manifold. The crud that plugs the EGR port is like concrete. I have heard of folks just removing the throttle body and picking the hole open but I can't imagine that doing a very good job.
You will need a new throttle body gasket, a new EGR gasket, and a new intake manifold gasket.
If you remove the intake manifold youhave done 90% of the work required to replace the PCV so if it has not been serviced this would be a good time to do it.
