Default Electric Seat Repair

I just got a '94 850 Turbo wagon and the back of the driver seat does not adjust. It makes a groaning sound when the lever is depressed. Has anyone taken apart a seat and done this repair? I'm an ok mechanic and a shop wanted $250.00 to look at it. Thanks, Tim

Here is a link to a thread that tells how to fix the problem. I just did a quick search on "Seat Cable" and this was the first one on the results. Hope this helps.

Hi Tim,

Just a supplement to Jim's help. See attached pic but note that I'll delete it within the next5 days so be sure to save it in your PC.

I would also try exerting some pressure on the seat-back while pressing on the button, but I guess you've already done that so refer to the link Jim gave you.

I would get a Haynes manual, if you don't have one yet.

Good luck.
