Electrical problems
My nephew just purchased a Volvo 850 and it has a intermittant problem.
He looses his blinkers and low beam headlights? Looks like there is no voltage going to the fuse holders when this happens. Tried getting manual to trace back wiring, but complicated to figure out. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Your right on the money, it is the ignition switch. We noticed that if you pull back on it after the car has started that blinkers and headlights will work.
Now here my next question, how easy is it to replace the ignition switch?
Need any special tools?

The only tools you should need for the job is two torx bits I forget which size to remove the plastic cover on the steering column. after that's removed its directly opposite where the key goes into the ignition. remove the plug from the ignition switch undo the two torx screws holding the ignition switch on and replace. its fairly straight forward. hope this helps
