Engine cuts out
It's been a while since I've been here on the site, to much work.
I have a new issue with my car that suddenly started this week and hope someone has some idea of what is going on.
I will be driving along and the engine suddenly dies but as soon as I go to restart it it start right up. When it happened yesterday I had just had a situation where I had to floor it then a moment later it died. This has happened a few times now and it is always after hard acceleration. I thinking maybe the fuel filter is restricted and the engine starves. Has anyone run into this before?
Also I have checked the OBD codes and all the related codes from the code readers in the engine compartment and there are none.

Start by replacing the fuel pump relay. My daughter's 95 850T wagon had the same symptoms - car would just die randomly on very hot days but would restart every time. Theory is the relay gets hot and loses its connection allowing the engine to stall. The relay is under the cover next to the under the hood fuse box. (four torx screws hold the lid down). pop off that cover and look for the red relay. Note that it may also be that the fuel pump is on its way out and drawing too much current - which in turn heats the relay.
