Engine ticking after oil change

Engine ticking after oil change
I have a 97 850 GLT and this is the first oil change I've done on it. After it was over, I noticed it was running rough and there is a ticking coming from the valves. Here is the steps I took when changing it, maybe you guys can notice something wrong that would cause this.
I warmed the car up and took the plug out.
I took the oil cap off to drain quicker.
Took the filter off
I used a filter from walmart, Bosch distance plus.
I put oil on the filter gasket and put it on.
Put cap on and filled car with mobil 1 full synthetic 10w30.
I think the oil is right. It is what is listed in the owners manual. I'm read afterwards of people filling the filter up before replacing it. I didn't do that.
Should I just completely redo the process and buy a new filter/oil?

Only one thing pops out to me. I presume by 1 full synthetic 10w 30, you mean a 5 quart container. I guarantee the car will take more then that. These engines typically like 5 1/2 and up. My buddy says 6 quarts, but each engine is a little different. Best thing to do is fill it up by the dipstick. My T-5r takes close to 5 3/4. My mothers s70 takes about the same.
The Ticking I wouldn't be concerned about unless it never goes away. My mothers s70 will every once in a blue moon tick after an oil change. It lasts maybe a few minutes and then it is gone. Also, just dont rev the car like crazy, keep the rpms down when it is ticking.
I will also say someone might comment about the oil filter you used. I have seen some people say a certain brand only. Hope that helps

I doubt that's it. I have switched all of my Volvo's to full synthetic and have never had an issue like that.
I would change the oil filter with a Volvo or Mann. How many miles on the car? Sometimes an oil change will cause lifter ticking, especially of you don't install the proper filter or don't prime the filter.
