Hey guys, I just took my '07 S60 in for an oil change and unfortunately, the check engine light came on right after. Its got about 33000 miles on it and everything has been done through the dealership, except this time which I went through a firestone service station since it was closer and I'm not near home. He said he used synthetic oil. Any ideas on what it could be? The light was definitely not on before the oil change.

i could be totally off, but i would guess it is a coincidence. there isnt even a sensor that i can think of in the area of the drain plug, oil filter housing, or oil fill. i think the only way it could be related would be if they knocked a sensor or damaged something on the lift.

 

Have your DTC read at Auto Zone w/c is free and report back here and hopefully somebody could help u out.
