Default exhaust

so im looking for something nicer sounding for the volvo wagon exhaust wise.

looking for a sound somewhere along the lines of this:

am i able to just go buy a muffler and bend up some of my own pipe and put it where the muffler is now?

anyone done this or know of it?

If you have the money, go for a custom exaust from an exhaust shop. IF you are on a limited budget then there are a few companies that make prefab. like OBX.

so it appears that i can only get the obx in a turbo model... is this correct?

They are for the turbo models, so it technically probably wont fit your car.

I wouldn't want to buy it just to try it either as if it doesn't fit they might not take it back...

I'd suggest going custom and having a local muffler shop make you one.

Since your not turboed mandrel bent or cruch bent doesn't really matter. But you do want back pressure so a baffled muffler should be used.

I'd go 2.25" to 2.5" piping to a Flowmaster muffler. Or another performance muffler that uses baffles.

ya thats what i was originally thinking on just making my own, untill someone had mentioned the obx system...
