Default Exhaust Manfold

Have a leak from my 96 850R exhaust manifold. Have done a lot of work myself already on this car, such as timing belt water pump, pcv etc with sucess. Is removing the exhaust manifold some thing I could do myself. Have spoke to a few non volvo owners and they have told me that the nuts would have to heated and if I broke a stud it would be a pain etc. Is this someting I can do myself or best left to a mechanic. And I do take it on myself which way is the best way to go from the top or bottom of engine?.

Soak it really good with PB Blaster first and let it sit for a little while.
Then you have better access from the top of the motor.
There is a bracket under the car you will need to remove though.
Take your time and I think you can handle it.

Inspect it for shaft play. That's about it.

Depending on how you do it. You do not really have to remove the turbo to replace the exhaust manifold gaskets.
But I would clean everything along the way.
