Default Fan Speed Selector?

The fan only comes on when the selector is set to the highest setting. Itdoesn't matter if I’m using the heater or A/C.

Can you guys give me some suggestions on were the problem may lie.

Also, is the selector switch easy to get to?

Thanks in advance,

If you've checked the fuses then the next item would be the blower motor resistor.

Do you have a manual (MCC) or automatic (ECC) system

Thanks for the response.

How do I tell the two systems apart?

If you have the owners manual it will show you the difference.

The automatic has a slider with variable speed control the manual system has set speeds, one through four I think.

Mine is the same as the one on the right, so that would make it a manual?

You have an MCC. It makes a difference when you go to pull or purchase a blower motor resistor.
I'm not saying it has to be the resistor it's just the most likely thing to try.

I have exactly the same problem with my manual climate control.

Is there a way to fix my apparently broken resistor?

Changed the resistor and it's working fine.
