Default winter/wet selector button

The button does not engage. I realize the transmission must be in D. The diode light does not come on and the dash display does not change from D to W. Costly repair? Can I drive it without the winter/wet mode available? TY for assistance.

When you put it into winter mode an arrow should lite on the dash. But it is only used in the snow/ice. It makes the car start in 3rd gear for less slippage.

If it isn't working and the car is shifting ok then you can drive it no problem.

ty for the quick answer...good to know I don't have to spend dough to fix something. The "W" button seems frozen, as it does not move at all when pressed. Does it need a shot of silicone spray?

You can try that and see if it works.
