well the first problem, when i turn the key to run nothing happens i cant turn the radio on or the heater, it acts like the key isnt in or turned but if turned to start it turns over. also what is the area behind the fuse box? looks like a place for relays or something or is that a diagnostic area.....?

Fuel pump is in the trunk, there is a schraeder valve on the fuel rail you can check with a bic or something to see if you are getting fuel. If you are hearing the pump engage and there is fuel, you're confident there is spark, you are probably looking at a bad pnp switch or ignition switch. First i would check the fuses with an indicator light (ground to a nice big bolt and touch each exposed metal strip with the key in pos II). Second what you can do is find yourself some nice sized wire, remove the cover from the starter cram exposed wire into the starter and touch the positive terminal of the battery (obviously insulated wire). If you start you're looking at a bad ignition switch or the pnp. If it doesn't, you are looking at the starter.
The best way about any of this though is to read up on DTC and how to read the codes from the jumper box, as long as you have power codes should lead you in the right direction.

The PNP controls the starter. So if the starter is working forget about the PNP.
The fuel pump relay is under the hood in the fuse box. You have to remove the 4 t-25 screws and take the top cover off. Then find the red relay. You can remove it and open it up and inspect the solder joints.
Luck S*** on the strut brace!!!!!
This is how to read codes.
