Not if you were not AWD it would have been in that hole.
You will have to drop the tank to get to it.

Um, I don't think you can do that. I know you can do something with the driveshaft that leaves your wagon just FWD. I know a few people that have done that on VS in order to get rid of the AWD part of the car, but I don't think you can go back and forth.

What do you mean similar to non fwd models? all 850s are fwd, or like yours, awd. I'm not sure if these are like the 60/40 awd or if it's full time awd, I'm not sure how they work. But I think you can swap axles or something like that and have just a fwd car.

Remove the driveshaft from the front to rear and it will be FWD.

good idea!!!

because that piece that rotted off holds the driveshaft., therefore if i remove the driveshaft intill i find that piece i will be able to use my car like normal.

will the computer be ok? probably a check engine or something?

The driveshaft and AWD is not tied to the computer in any way.

anyway.. so volvos use a recirculating air instead of a blow off by adding an intake does that make a big difference?

You can use a BOV, but our cars are designed to recirculate the air, and BOVs aren't vehicle specific either, a BOV is a BOV. And if you add an intake, yes you can hear the turbo more, but unless you're looking for the slight performance gains, don't spend the 200 dollars on a SRI just so you can hear the turbo.

Yes you will hear your turbo more if you install a cold air intake.

if i put a blow off, the air wont go there anymore, would it be bad, what would happen?

my driveshaft busted my exhaust right after the cat. so i need to take my car to a garage tomorow to have it re welded..

im worried about back pressure, would not having an exhaust after the cat be a problem for engine/turbo?

If back pressure was an issue, then people wouldn't be putting on 3" TB exhausts. With turbos you want as free flowing of an exhaust you can get, the only problem your going to have is every single person staring at you as you drive by. Haha.
