Default Fitting a motor in an 854?

I think I may have found a motor for my 854. The only problem I have is that all I have is my sedan. Is there any way to make a motor fit into my sedan? Thinking put down the seats and what not and take off both manifolds and then lay it down? Would that work? I don't wanna damage anything either.

This would be getting stored in my parking spot at my apartment (underground parking).

Sorry, all I can think is:

1.) Find a friend with a truck, who can take it to:
2.) A storage unit, until you're ready to work on it.

I think you're really gonna do a number on your trim trying to fit that puppy in the door. Assuming you care about your trim, of course.

I have indoor parking and I have plenty of room that I can put it against the wall in my parking spot and pull in right up to it. I would obviously tape off all entrances and wrap it in a tarp or something. I think if I took off the manifolds it would slide in easy enough, I just don't know about getting it out. If I would need a cherry picker or if me and a couple of friends would be able to lift it out. I can throw something over my trim to protect it.

Use a truck, do it right. I don't think you could fit it in the truck or even the back end.

I don't have a truck, all I have is my 850. I was told that if you take off the manifolds it would slide right in no problem (it's been done by a couple people on VS), would just take a couple buddies to help get it out. There's just someone local that has an 850 turbo motor for sale with only 105k miles and he's only asking 450 for it. When salvage yards want about a grand for a motor with 130k miles.

Nah, half my friends don't even have cars, I'm in college and most people don't have parking spots here, I have a studio and have underground/indoor parking since my car was broken into, so I have a dry place to store it till spring.

Rent a truck from Home Depot or something. I would't want to try and fit a motor in the trunk. Nevermind the fluids that will leak out of it, no matter how much it has been drained. I just helped a friend pull a motor from a 760 which I believe is slightly smaller than the 850 motor and it was difficult to manuver and I can't imagine trying to get it in, or worse yet, out of a sedan.

If you still insist I'd get some real heavy plastic and a couple of pieces of plywood, one to lay down in thr trunk for the motor to sit on and one to protect the trim while to giude it in.

Take pictures, should be fun.

Gilber there's a 95 T5 at the yard. Had 95k on the clock when I janked the cluster from it.

Don't know if that's useful to you or not.

Home Depot rents track $19.50 first hour and don't charge millage.
Once I used my sedan to move two night stands for my bedroom and damaged them and trim. Those doors don't open much.

How many miles you gatta go? What about a flat bed wrecker? Call a landscaper, They probably are not that busy this time of year. Don't you have snow yet!

I talked to someone on VS that used his S70 GLT to pick up an R motor, turbo and all, put it in his trunk, said it was just him and a buddy put it in and took it out, no big deal at all. I don't see why it's such a dumb idea. I think it would work just fine.

Doesnt your wagon run? I thought it was.

If it is, lay the seats down and put a piece of plywood in the back.

Or

I second the Home Depot rental truck. $20 and you'll have it home.

It runs, but it's either got a bent rod or serious collapsed lifter. It's "local", but it's still an hour away.

It's a bit of both, a little more knocking, I took a video of it I'm gonna put up. But when I give it a little gas and rev it a bit, the noise doesn't get louder or faster, which makes me think it's not a rod.
