Default fog light wiring woes

so, during my radiator and fan swap, i removed the shield in order to get them out. i neglected to put it back on and it finally caught up with me.

the fog light wiring fell down, got snagged and ripped out. thankfully, the cables connecting the lights were break-away cables, but the power lead managed to get ripped out from its source.

where exactly does it connect too? id like to get it back in tomorrow since its the wifes day off and she drives the 850 more than i do.

well, the day has come and gone, and i could not figure out where the red wire connects for the fog lights.

however, i can still wire them, i just have to now run a wire through the firewall and put a 20 amp inline fuse in it also. i plan on using the stock switch so it still turns them on.

i was also toying with the idea of wiring the bright lights to a switch instead of the turn signal. has anyone ever done that?

Hey White GLT, I don't mind helping you track down where your wires go but you would have to help me out by posting photos or something of where you'd like for me to look.

I must say that your initial story was quite amusing. Half doing a job and paying the price for it later.

meh, its just wiring. easily replacable. the *entire* fog light wiring (up to the relay im guessing?) was pulled. the ground wire snapped but the power wire seems to be in-tact, as it has a metal connecting end that looks like it slides onto a fuse panel or something.

wife just left with the volvo, will take pix of the wiring mess and where it was when she gets home later today

if i would have zip tied the wiring, this wouldnt have happened

anyone? i still have her jacked up and really would like to get this rewired the way its supposed to be, not running a new power wire to the switch in the dash and slipping an inline fust in between the 2...
