Folding the Rear Seat(s) Down
Hey,
I have a 1995 Volvo 850 Turbo Sedan, and I was just wondering if there are any tricks to folding the rear seats down? I used to be able to, but lately, when I full on the lever on top of either seat, it does not unlatch. I was just wondering if these are locked or something?
-Thanks

RE: Folding the Rear Seat(s) Down
Look from inside the trunk and you should see on each seat back a little "switch" or lever on the upper edge. This locks the pullswitch that you see inside the backseat area. That's because you can lock those pullswitches and hand your Valet key to someone who then won't be able to access your trunk.

Thank you very much, that will be VERY helpful, haha. I hope I didn't do any damage to the levers, I kinda forced hard because I though they were not working. They looked kinda stretched, but I am sure once I unlatch the seat and then latch them back, they will be fine.

I did the same thing once... By the way, you know that your front passenger seat folds all the way down as well in order to make for long cargo all the way through, right?... This has come in handy a few times now with trips to the hardware store for baseboard... Why no one else ever offered this... what a great feature.

Yeah, when wifey and I are travelling, she can sit in the back seat with baby, fold that front seat down, and have a "table" do change diapers or put her feet up with our portable DVD player on it. It's quite funny how useful that feature has actually been to me.
