Those rattle clips are a pain in the *** to get into the second hole. It will fit though. Think of them like a spring, they will stretch and snap into place. Use a pair of needle nose pliers while holding the clip in place.

As for the looseness of everything else, I'd be willing to bet once you get the rattle clip in place and pump the brakes a few times to get fluid back into the caliper it will take up the slack.

Get one side of the a spring in, get the other one close and use a screwdriver to pry it into place. Hard to explain, but it takes two seconds once you've done enough of them.

The looseness is normal with the piston pushed in and no spring in place.

Thanks! Got it done without too many expletives! Found a little trick too! If you slip a deep socket ratchet bit over the curved bit, it makes it much easier to leverage it into position.
