Default Fuel line question

Hi there,

is there anyone who knows about fuel lines for the 850?

I own a 1992 850 2.5 20v. It has double fuel lines. Infeed on the rail and the return line close by on the pressure valve. I swapped the engine for a lower mileage engine from 1996. This rail has a pressure valve too but without the return connection. BTW I swapped the intake manifold too because the VVIS was not in good condition. The 1996 intake manifold has a return outlet on the manifold it self see picture.
I was wondering if I could connect the existing return line with hose to that outlet.

That port in the picture is where a vacuum line connects - do not connect the return line to that - all the extra fuel will be dumped into the intake rather than back to the gas tank! You should use the existing fuel rail from the 1992 with it's connections. And block off that port on the 1996 manifold if not needed.

ok Hoonk thx for your reply. I will close that connection. I agree to use the existing rail. I now have the challenge to get that rail fitted. The camshaft cover has an extra “piece” which is in the way. I think I can fix it with some grinding.
