Default Fuel pump relay

Does anyone know where to find it on a '96 non turbo model? I thought it was beside the fuse box and took it apart but found just fuses, any pictures? thanks

If you look where you found the fuses and look to the right they're should be 3-4 i think torx screws and under that plastic panel those screws hold down the relay labeled 103 on it is the fuel pump relay, green or pinky red, that's the relay you're looking for

Look to the right of this arrow in the picture not the fuses but over they're under there.

Not tonight, but yes - I do take them myself. As I do any repair I try to document it with pictures and some notes so that I can either do a writeup or help to answer a question on one of the boards down the road.

I really love Volvos but they will bankrupt you if you need to take them in to a shop or stealership to solve all of their quirky problems. The beauty of these forums is that - if you can turn a wrench yourself - you can get enough information to keep them running and not be in the poor house in the process.

If your fuel pump relay turns out to be bad you can fix it yourself with a couple of bucks worth of Radio Shack parts. Details are here - one of the pictures may be familiar.

Lol stealership, i've never heard that but totally makes sense and is so funny other than warranty work i wonder why people even go there in the first place, oh well. Thanks so much for you help, I'm on Matthew Volvo sites and i can't sign in because i'm locked out for too many incorrect password entries, and tried to get matthew to help me out but no answer yet, so i'm loving this forum, i replaced by relay and worked out that issue before i discovered Volvoforums but i did not know you could rebuild them thanks!!

PS: smart idea with the documentation as you go along, i might try that out sometime
