Gauges!
Well I finally finished my gauge pod. Here's some pics, not completely done but looks good..
This is what they look like when off.

When you start the car.....

When you turn your headlights on...

Why are they all crooked? I like the gauges down there because it keeps it looking factory from the outside, the only thing I see being a problem with them located down there, is that now that when you're going WOT and you really need to look at your gauges, you have to take your eyes completely off the road and look down to see any of them. That's why I put my boost gauge right in the middle in my line of vision so I don't have to take my eyes off the road.

And is that your car at idle? Your vac is super low. Just a heads up.

the position of the gauges is so that they can be read for the angle of driver to gauge. My boost should be around 10-15psi so if the needle is straght up its good. Hard to angle the gauges tward the driver at that location so spinning them makes it easier to see the spec. levels.
I'm going out on a limb and say he has an automatic and his lights are on in drive with the A/C on? We all aren't blessed with 5 speeds! In my pics mine is in park! When in drive with a/c on and depending on other loads 12 inHg is about right!
Make a new face plate to hold the gauges. Use something you can cover with vinyl or make it out of wood.
I like that stereo, had a card reader and headphone or input jack in the front. Sweet.
