Did the lights work at one time?

Some cars only have keyless and no alarm. The horn is not supposed to make noise when locking or unlocking.

Your car might only have Keyless entry and no alarm.

2 ways to check. 1. look in the middle of the firewall bye where the upper engine mount goes to the body. Is there a horn there?
2. Look at the drivers side hood latch and see if there is any wires coming out of the latch.

If you have an alarm then there should be 2 wires from the latch to a plug.
And does your car have the horn?

The top one is an alarm horn.

With all the wires you found sounds like someone has really been messing with the car.

Try this and see if anything happens. Open the drivers window and close the door. Take the keys or remote and lock the car. Wait about 1 to 2 minutes. Then reach in and pull the hood release and see if anything happens.

Also when you lock the car do you see the parking lights flash?

If it is the factory system it won't do anything. It is a very basic Alarm.
The lights should flash unless someone had them turned off.

It works with the doors as well. If someone breaks into the door.

If you want to pay you can have the dealer go into the computer and make sure the lights are activated.
You could also pay and have an Aftermarket alarm system pigybacked to yours. It would work when you locked the car with your remote.
