Default Got a Nice Day, So Doing Some Work on Yellow

Ordered a bunch of parts from FCP when they had a sale in December or January and they been sitting in my garage ever since. Puting new rotors and pads all the way around with new calipers in the rear. One of my front calipers does not look too good at all and it was very hard to push the piston in, so I think I'm going to order new front ones too. Hope they sell them unloaded.

When I'm done with the brakes going to put new plugs, wires, cap and rotor on too. Nothing is really wrong, but it's been at least 70K since it's been done. Think I'm going to order the same stuff for the white one too cause it hasn't been done for a while either.

I tell you though, I'm getting to old for this stuff. I can barely get up off the ground after doing three wheels, but got to go out and do the last one. Decided to come in here and take a break from doing the brakes.

Last March we got a Hot Tub and that sucker is waiting for me when I get the last wheel done! That and a cold beer or two.

You know you had fun.

One of my neighbors came by about 4 hours ago to barrow a tool. When he did not return it in an hour I went to check on him. He was replacing the spark plugs on his '97 Maximum. What a nightmare!!! It's a V-6 and he was having a hard time getting the back 3 out, near the firewall. Well, I let him be and went back to check on him a hour later and he still was going at the back 3. At this time he was on the last one and could not get the spark plug out. Actually could not get the spark plug socket on the plug. I checked it out and realized that the socket was bumping something rubber. Well, turned out to be the bottom rubber piece of his coil pack. Well, after trying several things to reach 8" down that hole, I finally got a grip on it with my curved long handle needle nose pliers. Got it up to the top of the neck and the thing started to twist and tear apart. The top of it tore off and the rest fell back down the hole and back over the spark plug. Now there wasn't enough of it to get the pliers back on it so I ended up taking a fishing hook, bending it straight, duck taping it to a long narrow flat tip screw driver, and fishing the thing out. What a pain. To top it off, there was more than a 1/2" of oil on top of the plug. The car has about 300,000 miles on it. I told him to sell the dang thing tomorrow, not sure what he'll do. He has a habbit of holding on to things way to long. There has been a 1993 Honda Accord sitting in the driveway for about 4 years.

Good night.

I have heard that front wheel drive V6's are a real pain to work on.

MAN IT RUNS GREAT!!!

And it stops good too. I'm getting ready to order new calipers for the front and getting everything to tune up the white car too. Another $350 order for fcpgroton.

By the way does everybody know they are offering 15% off right now with free shipping over $99? If you need the promo code let me know.

Just when I thought Honda's FF 4-banger was bad enough, there are FF V6s...(FF V8 for some Caddies)...

A 15% off sounds great but being Volvoless (not even a tricycle) I am unable to take the advantage (Darn Feds are kicking qualified people out of the country and trying to promote illegal aliens to citizens.....this matter is always backward indeed).

Anyway, glad to hear your 850 is running great.

Users of this forum has always had a 10 or 15% discount and they do free shipping on all orders over $150 I think. Heck, their prices are usually so much cheaper that the discounts almost don't matter.
