Yes, I lost to a brand new Jeep last night. I was seriously scratching my head as to what happened. I could hear his engine just roaring, definately a V8. He pulled away at the top of 2nd gear. No match, not even worth a second try.

I feel better this morning after seeing that I was up against a 420hp vehicle.

 

Off the line? Of course he beat you, he probably has twice as much torque, not to mention rwd. 850s suck off the line.

Yeah, but on a 15G. The jeep has way more torque and RWD or AWD. Now if it was rolling, the volvo would probably beat it.

 

not too sure, v8's are fast all the time.

 

I doubt it, my mom has a jeep, granted it's a V6, but the high end power on that Jeep blows.

I wouldn't feel bad. I can get smashed on all the time by other high end cars. My first quarter mile was against a GTO running mid 13's. We went back to the pits and he said "Damn, I didn't expect this little thing to keep up with me that well". A race is a race, I'm sure you held up fine for the situation.

 

A 420 hp V8 vs a 240 hp 5 cylinder? I don't think you should be too upset, but I know I would be too. I got beat by and Eclipse the other night and was ready to make mods to my car.

 

That thing looked like it was from the lot, maybe even a test drive.

Man, I should have kept my Jeep. No, just kidding. I would be surprised if it's top speed is above 110. I want to catch one of those Colbolts that spanked me and see if he has the ***** to cross 3 digits and keep rolling. After my spanking, I was tempted to sell my Yellow 850 R. LOL

 

New eclipses are pretty damn quick. Low 14's I think
