Volvo 850 Made from 1993 to 1997, this Volvo line was available in both a wagon and a sedan, both with were graced with several trim levels.

Have to use gear shift override!!

Default Have to use gear shift override!!
Anyone have to adjust gear shift to allow you to put your 850 in gear? I have to use the override button.Do you have to remove console?

sounds like your micro switch took a poop, common issue with almost all volvos..
Here is the part you need.
Volvo Gear Selector Switch (850 S70 C70 V70) Genuine Volvo 9466028 | FCP Euro
