Default heater AC blend door spindle broken

Sort of my problem. The spindle that is turned by the damper motor is shredded, and where it attaches to the box with the flaps (behind the stereo), well, that all seems frozen. How to get all this out and repair?

I see from the post dates that no one has problems any more....

Well instead of hijacking a thread that's six years old you should of just started a new one.

What car, year, model, is the heater MCC or ECC. Where is this spindle located ??

If you want help try telling us what you have and where the problem is located.

If it's the one in the picture below there are threads on how to fix if you simply do a Google search.

It does look very similar (look and the splitting), although by the picture you seem to have acres of access after removing the glove box (only?), whereas I felt very tight in there.

I cannot get the end connecting to the white box to rotate, is that normal, or does it indicate a problem in there? I'm concerned that something in there has locked up and I will need to remove and trouble shoot. But, with access so slight (as is my knowledge on how to get that part out) I'm hesitant to just go at it using the videos, etc., via Google (and can't seem to find one specifically for this, anyway). This site seems to be the best source of info.

As much wisdom as you can give I would appreciate. I haven't anywhere to work but the street, so removing and replacing items the same day is important (and there is alternate side parking here).

Thanks

And, if not Bosch, what is OEM for a Volvo?

I'll get the hand of using this site....
