So I replaced the radiator and thermostat in a 96 850 2.4l non-turbo today. After getting everything back together and getting the system bled I let the car get up to normal operating temp. stayed right where is was supposed to be. That's when i notice the white smoke coming from the tailpipe. What could it be guys? The car has NEVER overheated. I also noticed smoking coming from under oil cap.

 

If the car was cold, it's likely normal condensation buring off. If it smokes after driving for 15 minutes, you may have something to check out.
