HELP. Anyone have problem with sun visor falling down?
Yikes, I got my used one for $20 plus shipping.
I just replaced it and now the interior lights dont work and the door chime doesnt go off. I cut the wires and spliced em with the new visor wires. Black to black, red to red. You would think it would be that simple, but obviously it's not. Anybody have any ideas? This ever happened to you?
I have replaces several of them with no problems. The first one I did the wire splice method but every one since I just pull the pillar post loose and plugged it in properly.
Can't imagine why those problems would be related, however, pull it back apart and make sure you covered your wires good and don't have a short.

Bought a visor from Erie Volvo with a lifetime guarantee. After about a year it started dropping too, I called and told them and they sent me another one with some other stuff I was ordering free of charge. I blew the fuse cutting the wire too.
Why are you guys cutting the wires when all you have to do is pull that pillar loose? It plugs in near the windshield base.
Besides that, here is a fix for the problem.
