Default How to remove sun visor?

Hi guys,

How do you remove the sun visor?
I tried pulling / prying the connector out, but it feels like it's going to snap...[:'(] I just now noticed that all the interior lights stopped working, I must have really messed it up

My sun visor is broken, it would not stay up nor all the way down. It just kind of hangs in the middle position. So I am trying to order a new replacement with homelink on it

Thanks in advance!

Welcome.

Sounds like you shorted something when pulling the wire, or it is just pure coincidence.
My pass. visor broke. I will probably just go to the junk yard and find the whole assembly.

Most of the time it is better to cut the wires and use butt connectors to install the new one.

The plug to disconnect it down on the side of the dash really hard to get to.

That is what I would do. One tip though if you go that route, be sure to cut the wires so you will still have plenty left to splice the new visor into.

Thanks for the input guys!

Just an update - I did blow the fuse, causing all the interior light to not work. The seatbelt/key warning sound keep on beeping, remote entry does not work. Fixed it by replacing fuse #15 with a 10A fuse.

Gonna call my local junk yard tomorrow...

i'll upload a video shortly, i just replaced my headliner and show you what I did.
***here is the link to the youtube video. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70_ePu6Tc6U *****

I cut the wires at different spots so I could keep them straight and also reversed the connectors [neg female to male - Pos male to female]

Hope this will help.
