I took off my grille this weekend to wash it and clean it. When I put it back on and closed the hood, I forgot to make sure the little lever (the thing that you pull that allows you to raise the hood once it has been popped) was back in the grille. Now I can pop my hood normally from inside the car, But It wont open up more than 2 inches because I can't pull that lever.

Is there another way I can mimic what that lever does so that I can open my hood and fix this??

 

Try using a long screw driver to move the latch to get it open.
