hello, just bought a 96 850 glt. problem is when i insert a cd into the indash player it keep ejecting the cd without playing it. i put in a cd cleaner and same thing happened. anyone had experience with this or know what to do?

 

I had the exact same problem with my 97 and could not figure out what to do about it. What I did was put a CD Changer in the glove box and no longer use the single player in the head unit. I had the Volvo changer from a previous car though sitting in my basement and it plugged right in with no problem. Now I just push CD Chgr instead of CD on the head unit.

 

As I always say... aftermarket is better anyway!!! I have an Alpine cd deck w/ipod direct connect, infinity 5 1/4 in the doors, rockford 3 1/2 in the front and rear dash...

 

are they burnt Cd's? Most older cd players can't read burnt cd's
