Removed the drivers side driveshaft to find that the output shaft bushing that the drive axle inside the transmission rotates against is badly scored as is the driveshaft.

- IS this a part that can be replaced? It appears that using a pilot bushing puller I could
remove it. Has Anybody replaced this bushing?

I assume that it can be replaced? Thanks in advance for any help here. My daughter drove 350 miles to visit for Easter. I found a bad seal leak and in pulling this driveshaft to replace the seal found this damage.

 

Yes, it can be replaced. Just make sure you install the new one flush or it will leak.

I'm talking about the steel bushing inside of the seal. It looks like it can be removed/replaced but Volvo has no listing for this part. As for the seal, I purchased one from Volvo and installed it all the way in. Not flush with the outside of this case. Sounds like this is incorrect and I need to replace it... again. At the moment it is not leaking.

Do you have the part number/sell seals? If so, please let me know.
As for the steel bushing, do you have a part number/sell these also?
