Default HID's cause bulb-out warning?

Title is pretty self-explanatory. Do HIDs cause a bulb-out warning light?

Thanks mate. I was actually reading your Lola thread yesterday to see if I could find an answer to my HID question.

No light with mine unless one goes out for some reason. I know for sure because one of my ballast just went bad.

Perhaps. You don't really need a relay for us.

I've been running HIDs off stock wiring for the longest time and I have yet to see the wiring get too hot or anything. Relays are nice, but the relay doesn't draw enough power to let the BOW go out.

My HID kit that came in the mail today did not come with a relay. I have never run a relay.

tech,

which kit did you get? I'm getting tired of replacing the halogen (H11) headlight bulbs @ $15 each, every couple of months.
