Horn is stuck on!...

Horn is stuck on!...
I hit my horn the other day and it just kept going after I let go. (Boy, that was an embarrassing drive home with the horn blasting--fortunately I was only about a mile from home when it happened...) I pulled the fuse so it's not blasting, but now I have no horn. Any ideas on what the problem might be?

most common cause is that the connector tabs inside the steering wheel hub have broken. IPD USA and FCP Euro both sell horn contact repair kits (and most of us who've owned an 850 long term have done this job). You can find a how to vid on Youtube, but the general procedure is 1) disconnect the battery, 2) lower the steering wheel all the way down and unscrew the screws on the back of the steering wheel to allow you to remove the center pad that covers the air bag and horn contacts, unscrew the airbag mounts (no need to disconnect) to move to the side to access the contacts (this is why you need to disconnect the battery...) you'll probably fish out the little red bits from the old contacts. I think there are four contacts - you may or may not need to replace all four. Total time is about an hour. I did find I needed to turn the wheel to access the screws in the back of the wheel.

Further query
I brought the car to my mechanic to do the job--I don't have enough time, nor confidence in my mechanical abilities, to do it myself--but he is letting me order the parts on this task and another one, so I can save a lot of money on parts, at least. Does anyone have opinions on the quality of parts: IPD USA versus FCP Euro?
UPDATE: I went to both sites, realized they are dealers, not parts makers. Ordered the kit through IPD USA for only $20 incl. shipping. Thanks again for the help !
