Volvo 850 Made from 1993 to 1997, this Volvo line was available in both a wagon and a sedan, both with were graced with several trim levels.

hey guys i was just curious about how much would it cost and what would everything i need to convert my front wheel drive 5 spd 850 to the awd version? is it even worth it ? because iam a rwd/awd guy at heart and my 850 just isnt doing it right now .

can be, and has been done.but i really dont think its worth it.and i think most everybbody on this forum will say the same

i recently thought about doing it with my 850 auto. i was able to find a 850 manual though that needed some work, and by the time i was said and done, cost and time was i was better off fixing the manual volvo.

so long story short, you COULD do it, but your time and money is prolly better spent in a new 850 manual

well my volvo is manual , i just was wondering how much the set up would cost to peice together and i would install it .

That is kinda major. I would just find one for sale somewhere, send a car inspector to go check it out, fly and pick it up. I think you'll be a lot better off and a lot less hastle.
