electrical issues with startup?
I bought a volvo from a guy a week ago and the next day he says that its having some sort of electrical malfunction when starting. Itll start 5 out of the 6 times according to him, but that one time theres some sort of short out somewhere or something. Im just curious if this is a known problem, or this ****** is jsut playing mind games with me. If it is a known problem, what extent would i have to goto to fix it? I would really appreciate some help on this, thanks.
i forgot to add, its a 1995 850 glt w/ 5 speed manual, 150k miles

More details would help us help you...
When it doesn't start, does it:
If you bought it, why is he telling you there's a problem starting? Is he just warning you about it, or have you experienced it?
When it doesn't start, does it:
- Not crank at all?
- Crank but slower than it should?
- Just hear a clicking noise when key is turned to start?
- Crank briskly; as normal, but engine just won't start?
- etc.

well i actualy bought the car, the day i called to go arrange a time for pickup he told me about the problem, i talked to him a bit about it he said it was some sort of electrical malfunction with the injection and ignition where they were firing off correctly. he replaced the harness to no avail. he had it hooked up to a computer and ran a diagnostic but couldnt find the issue
