How to disconnect heater Hoses
I have a 1994 Volvo 850 with a leaking heater core. I've been able to get to the heater core, but having difficulty figuring out how to disconnect the "quick disconnect" heater hose. Can some one help me?
Do I disconnect the heater hoses at the firewall inside the engine compartment or under the dash? I know they are supposed to be quick disconnect, but can figure out exactly how to disconnect them.
thanks Ed

Screw in the white box holding the heater core?
do you mean the white box holding the heater core?
I can feel something between the two tubes that go from the firewall to White box, However, I can't see exactly what this is because the brake and gas pedals are in the way. Given the location, not sure how I could access it.
thanks

got it, but new question
Okay, got the screw out and pulled out the heater core. thank you, I couldn't have done it without your help. I really appreciate it.
now for the new question, I'm told I'll new a set of o rings, There seems to be some rubber on the tubes that connected to the heater core. Is that rubber the old o rings? Should I remove that rubber? and put on the new o rings? I suspect yes, but don't want to damage the tubes if that rubber is supposed to be there. thanks Ed.
