Glove box hinges
Open the glove box. Look for the screws securing the glove box liner to the dash. You will need a No. 25 Torq screw driver or No. 25 torq bit to fit the screw heads. Once you remove all screws, about 4, then carefully jiggle the liner a little not letting it drag on the glove box lite bulb, just work it past. With a thin screw driver carefull release the glove box lid plastic support arms from the cover. Careful! After their release, put a bag tie around them to avoid their slipping up and through the slits each side of glove box. If one should fall through, you will have to spend time looking for it. Remove the 4 screws from the hinges and remove box cover. Looking through glove box opening, you should see the fan vertically mounted on the AC/HT duct. You will also need to remove the trim panel under the dash-passenger side which is secured by screws, Just look close, remove, and then slip the panel down and out. This is the plastic, sound/heat protection knee panel under the dash. Working through the glove box opening, disconnect the fan motor wiring connecxtor. Remove the cable duct from fan motor and the two wiring connectors from their support brackets. Remove the four screws holdnig the fan motor to the duct and remove the fan. Reminder: If you wish to shelf test the motor with 12 volts or wish to run it while out of the duct and on floor mat, be sure it is secured. If entergized while just laying, it could jump around and damage the squirrel cage blower. If I don't have a car lift, I jack up the passenger side with tire chaing jack or floor jack to bring up the car side for easier seeing the screws , etc. And Yes: You do need to remove the glove box liner and and cover to do this. Reinstall in reverse order.
