I don't get it, but its cool anyway
I posted extensively a few months ago with a non spark condition and ecu diagnostic unit issues on my 850 turbo. Well I put everything back under the hood and charged my battery to do some more functional testing. I have never gotten a spark since I bought the car at a reduced price a few months ago. I cranked it over to see how the battery was, and it started up instantly. It sounded like a diesel because it hasn't been run in at least two years, but after 5 min., it sounded great no lifter noise or anything else. Ran excellent. I don't get it, must be a corroded connection on something that I removed in the course of my explorations. Hopefully it stays working. Thanks for all who responded to my previous questions. I was surprised to see that the turbo spooled right up after all this time as well.
Good job, well done!
Now, make sure that the timing belt has been done at every 70,000 miles/5 years. If not done within those intervals, I would make it the top priority.
If anything else arises in the future, we'll be here.
