Is 6 psi stock? or is there something wrong? How would you bump it 10+ psi. I think you need to reflash the ecu don't you?

Could use the helpful info hehe.

No you don't need to flash the ECU.
Thats what everyone says and I was tired of arguing about it.
It works the way I do it.

If you open the Waste gate rod 1.5 to 2 turns you will get more boost.
Most say no because it is controled electronically. But technically you have to pressurize the waste gate to adjust it to factory specs. Because the computer only controls the vaccum and pressure not exactly how much the waste gate opens.

Cool! I think i have to do some more research on what the wastegate actually does. I am new to this whole turbo world lol. Let me know if it works for you.

Thanks for the info.

UPDATE:I have done some more work on the car.
Installed a Manual boost control valve. Running about 9 PSI boost.
Just bought a used ECU with the upsolute chip in it. It is the 15 to 16 PSI boost upgrade.
Going to install that and up the boost up to about 12 PSI.

Hopefully soon comes a set of the 5 spoke R rims.
Working on polishing the Fuel rail,Fuel rail cover, intercooler pipe,Cam cover and firewall heatsheild.
Then comes the exhaust and a few other things.

Just wanted to stop by and give an update on how things were going.
Once I can get time for somemore pics I will post some.

Sorry Reg. just was a time to come on.

Another update: Have been working on some polishing lately see pics at the bottom.
Going to try to have the spoiler painted soon to install.
When I can make a trip to FT. Meyers then I will have a few more goddies for the car. But will wait till I have the parts to post about that.

Here is the pics of the polished stuff.

Eventually I will have the Intake,Intercooler pipe, and firewall sheild polished.
Then going to install the Blue silicon hoses and buy the Volvo Motor Sports Blue spark plug cover and install that. Then is should be about done with the exception of finding a set of the 850R rims and getting them on there. For now going to paint the rims Dark Grey for now to make them look different.

I will update again when I get more done.

I painted the bumpers right after I got the car.
I had the white done then did the black portions.

It looks good. Did you get that CF from Volvo Speed?

You'd never guessed that the car only cost you 1 grand or so..

It's looking real good. I saw the sway bar which prompted me to ask how hard it is to install. When you putting the spoiler on? Some guys on volvospeed do not like the car with the spoiler while others do. I think they look much better with the spoiler. I really like the spoiler on the 96/97 R's. They have that grey on the tip where it kind of curls up.

I totally stripped and repainted my front spoiler myself with cans of spray paint on the yellow one. Some guy on volvospeed had four cans for sale and I bought two of them with a can of clear coat. Came out real good. I posted some before and after pictures on here a while back. Did you ever get the seats died? I was just wondering how that turned out.

I have to get the spoiler painted yet. $$$$ been really tight and going on Vacation in less than a month.Have to fly the family to N.J. for a wedding.

The seats are dyed but waiting for the wife to get them back from the guy.

Hopefully soon we will have them and I will get them in ASAP.

Then comes removing the dash and fixing all the broken pieces.

Need to hook you up with some different wheels too. For some reason I don't care for Columbas. I don't like the bent star look. Some people really like them though. I really want a set of Pegs for my T5R so I can put the Volans back on the R, but don't have the bucks right now either.
