Hello,

I have 1996 850r with 140k miles. Stage 0 was completed.

I got a code P0715 (Input/turbine speed sensor) so I replaced the sensor, but I still get the code.

A month ago, I flushed transmission fluid, and a week later, I got CEL and transmission warning light. The code was P0715 so I replaced the sensor. When I took out the old sensor, oil was on the tip of the sensor. Is this normal? Maybe transmission fluid was overfilled?
Since replacing the sensor didn't fix the problem, what can this be?
The transmission shifts fine.

Maybe an issue with the wiring.

 

Is there anyway to check it? If the wiring is bad, how can I fix it?

You will have to get a wiring diagram and check the resistance of the wiring from one end to the other.
