hello,
I am suspecting a leaky injector on my 94 turbo. i get the smell of gas going down the road and other symptoms. i just took my fuel rail off and made sure everything is seated right. my seals look ok, but one injector is cracked on the bottom. could i take one out of my 97 NA 850? I'm guessing they're different, but they are both orange in color

 

after just reading another post I think it is the pintle cap that is cracked, the piece at the very bottom

 

If it's just the cap that's cracked I'd get one kit and then seals for the other four while you are at it unless you know they've been done in the last few years.

I use a little Vaseline on them to help them slip into place.

The older and more brittle they become the more they don't like to seal properly going back in
