Default Interchangable Parts From S/V70

I know a lot parts from the 1998 - 2000 S & V70 fit the 850. Door handles, seats, roof rails, door panels, lots of motor parts, brakes. Most physical parts aft of the dash. Will the rear hatch of the wagon and the tail lights fit the 850 wagon?

Lets list everything that everyone thinks or has interchanged. Then I'll make a new thread with the list and put it in the sticky.

Parts that will swap over:

Front end will swap over, however, to go from a X70 to an 850 you need the entire front clip, i.e. headlights, fenders, hood, bumper, bumper supports, radiator support. The parts individually will not fit.

X70 bumpers do not fit 850s (rear will with custom fabrication)

X70 engine components from 98 X70s will fit the engine bay. 99-00 are different bays, some parts may carry over, but not like the 98s.

Door handles from X70s will fit 850s, however, the locking assemblies will not so you will have to rely on your remote to lock and unlock the car.

X70 rain diverters fit 850s

V70 euro roof rails will fit 855s

S70 load bars will fit 854s

Grilles will not fit between the different hoods

headlights= NO

corner lights=no

Interior:

X70 door panels do not fit 850s. Different door handle and window motors (unless you swap entire doors, which do fit in that case).

Seats will fit (wagon and sedan respectively, however, it's going from a manual to power seat that is the hard part)

Dash will fit, however, the wiring for the ECC is different between 850 and X70 and I only know of a couple people that have successfully made the ECC work from an X70 into an 850.

The clusters from a 98 will not work in 93-94, and I believe 95 too. So an X70 dash swap would not work in those years.

Brakes are interchangeable, most notably the 302 brake upgrade from the X70s into the 850s.

Turbos are interchangeable.

ECUs are not interchangeable between X70s and 850s (again, it has to do with the ECC, and you will fry the ecc if you try, this is for 98s, 99-00 just won't work)

AGAIN, IF YOU EVER HAVE A QUESTION IF AN ENGINE COMPONENT WILL FIT FROM AN X70 INTO YOUR 850, USE COMMON SENSE, GO TO ANY ONLINE PARTS SITE, AND COMPARE PART NUMBERS. MOST OF THEM LIST OEM PART NUMBERS, IF THE NUMBERS ARE THE SAME, THEN THEY WORK, IF THEY'RE NOT, THEN THEY WON'T. FCP would be the easiest to use for this IMO.

Some do and some do not. It is pretty rare to find one with it.

Only way is to measure them. I'm not sure what models came with them and which ones did not.

Do you know which models it was that had 302s? I want to say it was like the '00 V70Rs.

Will the hood of a stock 1996 or 1994 850 fit a 1995 850? and are the station wagon hoods different than the sedans?

Thanks!
