My '88 745 has reached 260,000 miles and it is needs some used parts to keep going. When I search for these used parts what other years, besides the '88, can be used?

What kind of used parts are you looking for. I have a 1989 740 with 307,000 miles on it and still buy new parts. Both OEM and aftermarket and they are not expensive. They are out there even body parts. Just search the web.

 

Thank you for responding. The new parts are too expensive for me right now unfortunately. I'm in need of a heater control unit because the **** that switches the vents is stuck, luckly on defrost considering I'm in a MA winter! I also need the blower and a lock ackator for my back hatch. I could use a light grey hood and the panel above that and below the windshield. I've also been searching New England for four 14 inch alloy rims for a good price, but no go.

I just need to know what years would be interchangable for my '88 so I can start my search. I think its '87 thru '89 I just can't remember.

 

'88 will interchange w pretty much all 740 up to '89. all the parts u mention u need are '83-'89 740. heater control, up to '90, hatch, probably even a 940 will work, any 740 will be fine-they are all the same. body parts u mention will be to '89, they change starting in '90. rims, if u need 14", means u have no abs, then any rim from a 240/740/940/760/960 will fit, 15", 16".
