My 850 2.5 petrol p reg has an intermittent starting problem. It fires up rough and stalls or starts revs to 1500 and stalls, but only infrequently. Other times it starts fine. It runs well and drives fine no other problems the only indication is an engine management light on. Can anyone help. D

 

Have you taken the car to have the codes read? Usually when that light comes on a error code is stored that will most likely lead you to the cause of the problem.

 

^ +1. What he said. Sounds like a MAF problem but you don't want to start throwing parts at it. Have the codes read and go from there.
