Joined recently, trying to choose which Volvo is best for my budget!
I have been pretty set on an 850 for my budget of around $2,200, give or take a bit.
A 96 850 with 150k miles blue-books at about that price in very good condition, so I don't expect to have to spend any more than that.
Other than the 850, is there another model that I should be considering, even if it's a little bit older? I want the newest and most reliable car for my dollar.
I like the 850 cause apparently they can run for lots of miles on the original engine/trans (500k+) I want something I won't have to replace the transmission on!! *knock on wood*
Any other tips or suggestions on another model and why would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Edit: For example, how are the V90's?? The interior is similar to the 850 if not the same, and overall they look nice. How is the reliability of that compared to the 850?
