Hey folks, I was wondering about programming keyless remotes for the 850, specifically how do you do it. When we got my son a 95 850, it did not come with keyless remotes. I'm pretty sure it has a remote system as it not only has the alarm (which does work) and LED on the dash, but it also has the black box on the right of the glove box.

Anyway, I have found a set of used keyless remotes for a 95, but before I buy them, I would like to know if I can program them without having to get my wallet significantly lightened by the dealership.

SO, if anyone konws how to do this, please let me know.

It is very easy to do.

 

I reprogrammed my keyless remote because it stopped working. Now it only works inside the car....why is this? What can cause this problem? I just replaced the battery as well. I have a 1994 Volvo 850 Turbo Wagon. Thanks for the help in advance.

 

You will laugh but try sticking the end of itunder your chin. It increases the range by about 10 fold.
