Leaking Heater Hose

Leaking Heater Hose
I sprung a leak on my upper heater hose on teh portion toward the engine, I trimmed and re clamped that part but in the process I guess I may have yanked too hard on the other end (inlet in firewall) It now leaks water on the ground and will not hold coolant and it leaks into the cabin. I know this is a fairly common thing so I was wondering what parts I need and what I need to do to fix this problem, If I can bypass the heater for now that would be great I just dont know how to remove the metal ends from the firewall to do so, thanks!

You'll need a new heater hose inlet connector. FCP's got them. To bypass the heater core, get a piece of cut- to- length heater hose from a parts store, and remove both hoses from the engine. Connect the new hose at either end. To remove hoses from the firewall, there's yellow quick- release clips you need to push in on, and the hoses will pull out.

Man I wouldnt know! Those people man! You know, there are ways to drain your coolant system, something you should do every time you replace a hose? This is called a band aid fix, since I use my car a lot I needed something to get me home without losing all my coolant. Oh must have been smarter to drive it with no water.I guess thats what most Volvo owners do.
