Lighting issues causing a short
The past two times I have replaced a bulb the bulb failure light has failed to turn off. The first time I replaced the headlight the bulb failure light stayed on, and what I'm assuming was a short caused the battery to die. I took it to a shop had it fixed and put in a new battery. Now I just replaced the license plate light and the bulb failure light is still on. I checked the fuse to which was not burned out. I am afraid the same thing is happening where there is a short in the wiring. Any ideas on how to tackle this?

make sure you are using the correct bulbs (owners manual usually list the bulb numbers) then clean the sockets and check the connectors are clean. finally make sure your ground connections are good.
