Hi, I'm looking for a non-suv type vehicle that can carry grandchildren to our New England ski areas and I've narrowed my search to the Volvo 850 turbo with third row seating. I found a 95 on ebay with 75000 miles. It has all the options I'm interested in EXCEPT traction control.
I have questions regarding the 850 turbo. 1) Is traction control necessary in New England? (I heard 850 turbos are not good in the snow.) 2) I have read owner reviews that the engine management system may fail @ 90,000 miles. 3) Also read reviews that the AC unit may fail and it needs recharging every season. If anyone out there has had experiences like these, or other comments, please let me know.
